Courses Offered

1. B. Sc. Botany (CBCSS) Programme
The Department started in 1978 with the Graduate Course in Botany. The Choice based Credit Semester System was introduced in 2010 for UG programme The Open Course for B. Sc. (CBCSS) programme is Horticulture.

2. M. Sc. Botany (PG CSS) Programme
The Department was elevated to the status of PG department when the M.Sc. Course began in the year 1995. During the year 2001, PG programme was shifted to semester system.

3. Ph. D Programme
Department has been recently upgraded as Research Centre of the Kerala University in 2019. The centre has three ongoing PhD programmes
