2016 - 2017
• Department of Chemistry organised two days international seminar on ‘State of the art of Instrumental Techniques in Compound Analysis- SITCA’ on 19 and 20 of July 2016. Dr. Zachariah Oommen, Professor & Director, Forensic Science, Natural & Forensic Science, Albany State University, Alban, Georgia, USA, Dr. Ravi Shankar L., Scientist, Organic Chemistry Division, National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science & Technology (NIIST), CSIR, TVPM & Dr. Gladis, Assistant Professor, Indian Institute of Science Education & Research (IISER), TVPM were the resource persons. Paper presentations were done by faculty, research scholars and PG students of reputed academic as well as research institutions. Conference proceedings of the International seminar on ‘State of the art of Instrumental Techniques in Compound Analysis- SITCA’ organised by the Department of Chemistry was released
• The Department of Chemistry organised ‘Quantitative and qualitative analysis of Field Water’ in Amachal Panchayat with the help of PG students

2017 - 2018
• A seminar was organised on 21.3.2018 by the Department IQAC Report 2017-2018 Page 10 of Chemistry as part of Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the first Degree programme. Dr. Salahuddin Kunju, Former Principal of University College, TVPM inaugurated the Silver Jubilee Celebrations. Dr. Sachidanandan, Assistant Director, Explosives Division, Forensic Science Laboratory, Kerala was the resource person. He delivered a talk on ‘Chemistry in Crime Investigation’. Chemia’ 18 quiz competition was conducted for the school students on the same day, sixteen teams were participated. A souvenir titled ‘Oxyra’ was released by the Department of Chemistry as part of Silver Jubilee Celebrations
• The department of Chemistry organised Alumni meet on 13.10.2018
• The Department of Chemistry organised a program named ‘Rasathanthram Veettilekku’ for the Kudumbasree members of Thottampara ward on 15.3.2018. Ms Shiji E. Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry was the resource person
• On 7.2.2018 UGC-CSIR Coaching classes conducted for the PG students of Department of Chemistry by Dr. Maria Starwin, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry

2018 - 2019
• An awareness program was conducted for the girls students by the Department of Chemistry on the topic ‘Women Health and Life Management’. Dr. Elizabeth Cheeran, Field Surgeon, Community Health Centre, Vilappil was the resource person
• A training program was organised by the Department of Chemistry on Analytical Equipment on 22.10.2018 for the students of Emmanuel College, Vazhichal.
• A training program was organised by the Department of Chemistry on Analytical Equipment on 23.10.2018 for the students of Mother Theresa College, KIlly, Trivandrum
• Alumni of Department of Chemistry organised meeting on 13.10.2018.
