Walk with a Scholar programme was started in Christian College Kattakada in the year 2014-15. In the first year of starting 30 First year degree students of different streams (mentees) were included and 5 internal Mentors (faculty) of our college was assigned to them. In 2015-16 the students in the programme were increased to 60 from 1st year and 2nd year degree and the internal mentors were increased to 10. A motivational visit was conducted to Abdul Kalam sir's birthplace Rameshwaram and Trichy with 30   second year degree students in the same year.  90 students of first year, second year and third year degree were included in the programme in the year 2016-17 and mentors were 15. In 2018-19 there was 60 students and 10 mentors. As per the instruction issued by Higher Education Department from time to time Christian College Kattakada had completed walk with a Scholar programme successfully.
