“NCC IS THE LARGEST UNIFORMED YOUTH ORGANIZATION IN THE WORLD”. Christian College Kattakada has two NCC Units as 1(K) Girls Battalion NCC Poojapura and 4(K) Battalion NCC Neyyattinkara. Both Battalions belongs to Trivandrum Group NCC Headquoters.

The Care Taker of 1(K) Girls Battalion NCC is Smt Viyola J R .The Senior Under Officer is Anupama SS and the Under Officer is Niecy S Glady. This CCK NCC unit consists of 106 NCC Cadets. As well as the Associate NCC Officer of CCK NCC Unit is Lt Dr Shyju GJ. The senior Under Officer is Arakh Babu and the Under Officers are Anoop SS and Maneesha Marshal M. This CCK NCC Unit consists of 160 NCC Cadets.

National Cadet Corps is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces with its headquarters in New Delhi ,India It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army,Navy and Air Force engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens.

“Unity and Discipline" as motto of the NCC , it strives to be and is one of the greatest cohesive forces of the nation, bringing together the youth hailing from different parts of the country and molding them into united and disciplined citizens of the nation.

The soldier youth foundation in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, higher secondary, collegres and universities all over India . The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and drill. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course.

NCC ‘C’ certificate is the highest level certificate for NCC cadets. It can be taken in the 3rd year of training, in the 3rd year of degree course. Those who possess a Certificate - B can take it in the first year after their +2, and in the 1st year of their degree. In addition to that Kerala Government awards 5% grace markes in PSC Examinations and special weightage marks in admission procedures in government firms to all the certificate holders.
